Dr Zieve talks with Dr John Boik of New Earth Biomed on the challenges of undertaking cancer research outside the standard pharmaceutical approach, and what he's learning about how botanical compounds can work together to fight cancer.
John Boik PhD is a VIGRE postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Statistics at Stanford University. He has a Masters in Oriental Medicine from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, moving on to a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Houston, focusing on Biomathematics and Biostatistics. He subsequently worked in the Pharmaceutical Development Center of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Read more at newearthbiomed.org.
